This past Thursday, I got dolled up a bit and went out of the house...
Wait what? Speedo isn't just for professional swimmers?? Confused? Yeah I was too - at first. Speedo's new Spring 2020 collection is all about that neon trend and floral prints! To celebrate, they held an event at one of the Speedo headquarters which (surprisingly) is located here in Orange County.
They had drinks (healthy ones, of course), candy galore, and several racks showcasing the new styles. The installation setup though with all the bright colors and positive sayings definitely captured everyone's eyes and made for the perfect spot to take pictures at. There was even an artist to personalize Speedo fanny packs (an exclusive accessory made just for the event - how cool)!
I even got to chat with Speedo's Product Merchandiser Kaitlin on what inspired this collection. Kaitlin shared they're "always targeting swimwear" and "wanted to develop a line to train in and wear to the beach" by "taking functional styles and making it fashion." The spring 2020 collection features "bright neon color palette for spring leading to summer" where you can "mix and match expressing your personality" so there's "something here for anyone."
So whether you're training or just going to the pool (or beach), their new collection is leaning more towards being more versatile. I got to check out some of their new colors and styles and picked out some pieces to take home (keep an eye out for their collection launching today here). Waiting until the weather gets a little warmer here in OC to wear them out. Thanks Lani and Speedo for having me!!
